Studio Recording

Recorded to tape using only 8 tracks, this recording of “Sir Duke” was one of my favorite projects to work on. The limited track count taught me so much about managing my time and musicians, understanding the importance of a proper bounce structure, and all the joys of recording to tape.

This next recording was again tracked to tape, using all 24 tracks. I was able to add more effects and mix a fuller record before putting it in Pro Tools for the final mix down.

A few microphones used on these recordings include the AEA R84, Royer 121, and TLM 103.
